Hello

Hey Nicky and Jeb,

It's great to hear from you! I hid in the drawer at work yesterday! It was a lot of fun until Karen (the person that found me) told my companion that she had better be careful or I would fall behind the drawer and be stuck in the store forever! My companion quickly took me out and then sat me on her order book to keep her company while she was ordering! It was such fun! I have not yet "visited" Mrs. Bues... but I plan to! I might even plan to "visit" your brother when he comes! Just a warm welcome from his old buddy Ed! I'm glad you like the idea of a book! I shall have my companion begin work right away! I miss you all out there in Virginia! Talk to you later!

Working Working Working

After recovering from his workday on Friday, Ed was finally able to dictate a message about work to all of his friends. He enjoyed his day and spent several hours in hiding in the closet at the store where his companion works. Ed really likes work, because he can make new friends! He definitely is not sure why it is called work though! All he did was hang on the wall and watch people get coats and put away things. He even tried to scare a few! Perhaps he will explore a new hiding place to help get a better reaction next time! Whew, he sure was worn out after his day and has enjoyed perusing his current room from a nice, elevated position!

Sneaking Around

Ed found his way into his companion's pocket last night, and to her glee, she found him on the way to work today! He got to meet a couple of her co-workers and hang on the wall in the closet, so he could say "hi" to any that opened the door. He plans on returning tomorrow to meet more people and to help unpack boxes! He also discovered a list had been made of things he could do that rhymes with his name! He will have to get to work on photodocumenting these rhymes! Perhaps he could come up with his own book! Ed would like to know what everyone else thinks about a book all about him!

The Kitchen

Today, Ed decided he would like to explore the kitchen. He was sneaking about, looking for great places to hide for future mischief! He thinks the refrigerator might have some good places, but he does not think he would like to sit in there too long! He also really likes the silverware drawer, for many will be looking in it for utensils! He snacked on some Amish made bread and honey... mmmmm. He was quite pleased with his findings in the kitchen. He plans on going to work on Friday, for some fun!

Resting

Today, Ed decided to rest, after the many travels yesterday. He sat on a nice stand to admire the view. He got to meet the dog, Toby. They did not have much to say to each other. His companion, on the other hand, went to work, and did not get much rest. YAWN! Tomorrow, they should be ready for another day of work! Ed wants to go with, and so he is going to try to sneak into his companion's pocket. He had much fun scaring people at the airport. All he did was lay on his companion's lap, but apparently people are not used to seeing reptiles in an airport! Maybe the people at work will not scare as easily!

Taking Off

Today Edmund “Ed” said goodbye to his family to go on an adventure! He looked out the window as he flew from Roanoke to Chicago. He saw many clouds and was dazzled by the beautiful scenery below! He was quite grateful for the chance to get out of the bag and experience flying. After arriving in Chicago, he discovered, with his current traveling companion, that the flight was delayed for over 2 hours! That means that he will get to fly on the next plane after 11:00pm central standard time! He crossed over time zones and will continue on his travels in the land of Lincoln. He just hopes that his return journey might not take as long!

After much waiting, Ed and his companion left Chicago at midnight on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. They arrived at their final destination just a little after one. They promptly went to bed to prepare for the next day!
